Badger Alloys CEO to Represent Metalcasters at Government Affairs Fly-in in D.C.
MILWAUKEE, WIS – Rob Cowen, president and CEO of Badger Alloys, will represent Wisconsin foundries at a Government Affairs Fly-in June 11-12, 2024. Cowen will join a select group of Wisconsin manufacturing leaders who will participate in the event, sponsored by the American Foundry Society. They will meet with legislators to represent metalcasters’ and suppliers’ interests in policies including taxation, “Buy America,” trade enforcement, workforce policies, EPA rulemaking and OSHA regulations.
“I am honored to represent our industry and look forward to the opportunity to work with our lawmakers and representatives to advance sensible solutions for foundries in Wisconsin and across America,” said Cowen.
Speakers at the event will include Karl Rove, former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff for President George W. Bush, and Alabama Congressman Mike Rogers (R-AL-3).
Located in the heart of Milwaukee and founded in 1966, Badger Alloys offers single-source capabilities for custom castings. The company pours more than 200 different alloys and features a sand foundry, pattern making, machining, engineering and rapid-response technologies on one manufacturing campus to offer customers fully integrated services.
